Working with Gone Fishing’s Ted, Paul and Bob was a ‘reely’ fantastic experience.
It was a delight to meet dear Ted and he absolutely loved the Whole Energy Body Balance therapy and really relaxed into it.
Before filming began Ted and I made friends and I soon had my hands on him, gently massaging his neck and back. It wasn’t long before he was stretched out on the floor on his side in a deep sleep. His mum Lisa, the show’s Executive Producer, couldn’t believe her eyes and one of the crew asked if he was still alive!
Once filming began, I went through the assessment of fascia along Ted’s spine and did find some tension which is very common in older dogs. He lay down happily soaking up the massage and after about 10 minutes just flopped over onto this side – completely unscripted but paw-fectly timed!
I’ve been a fan of both Paul and Bob since they appeared on our screens in The Fast Show and Shooting Stars in the 1990s so it was absolute pleasure to meet them both.
Bob and Paul were very down-to-earth and Lisa and the film crew were so welcoming and friendly it really put me at ease. It was an absolute delight and an honour to be a small part in such a big show.
